School Board Meetings

At the July school board meeting, the board set the meeting dates and times for the upcoming year.  All meetings will be held at the school board office at 9 a.m. except for the September, November, and March meetings, which will be held on the second Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.  WCEA co-president, Denise Davis, requested the meetings be held after school hours and not on Wednesday evenings.  This would enable all Wythe County School employees and working parents an opportunity to attend the meetings.  The WCEA also recommended that meetings be held at the school board office rather than at specific schools to provide a central, consistent location.  It was a unanimous vote by the board members to continue to hold meetings at 9:00 a.m, except for the three Wednesday night meetings.
