About the WCEA

WE ARE HERE FOR YOU

You can put your professional trust in the Wythe County Education Association.  We are your local affiliate of the Virginia Education Association (VEA) and the National Education Association (NEA).  NEA is the largest education group representing public education professionals all across the world.

The VEA is a statewide community of more than 50,000 teachers and school support professionals working for the betterment of public education in the Commonwealth.  First organized in 1863, VEA has consistently advocated for quality instruction, curriculum, adequate funding, and excellent working conditions for Virginia public school employees.  Membership is open to any and all part-time and full-time employees of Wythe County Schools – bus drivers, custodians, secretaries, paraprofessionals, nurses, teachers, administrators, maintenance, and cafeteria personnel.   See your association rep or any officer listed on the left for more information or a membership application.
